For months, “Mortal Kombat X” developer NetherRealm Studios has delighted in slowly drip-feeding gamers information regarding the roster for its next game. A steady diet of obscure hints, screenshots and the occasional official reveal have kept gamers enthralled. Unfortunately for them, a new leak has prematurely shed light on what the studio has planned for gamers.

A slip on the official Xbox Store advertising the “Mortal Kombat X” Kombat Pack has revealed the entire “MXK” DLC lineup before the developer was ready to do so. The DLC cast was subsequently confirmed in a tweet by “Mortal Kombat” creator Ed Boon.

The Kombat Pack includes first access to four playable characters and themed skin packs. The DLC characters include horror icons Jason Vorhees, Predator and classic characters Tanya and Tremor.

Gamers' first look at the killer quartet is short but sweet. A video hosted on the official “Mortal Kombat” Community YouTube page sees Jason Vorhees, Tanya and Tremor step out of the shadows. The Predator makes a typically dramatic appearance, his stealth suit allowing him to fade into view even as his shoulder-mounted Plasma Caster takes aim at the camera.

Gamespot reports that the Kombat Pack itself comes as part of the “Mortal Kombat X” Kollector’s Edition and is also available separately for $30. Gamers who purchase the Kombat Pack at launch also get early access to the DLC characters as well as three new skins: Ronin Kenshi, Samurai Shinnok and Jingu Kitana. A full breakdown of the Kombat Pack’s contents includes:

The Ultimate Horror Pack:

- Playable character Jason Voorhees

- Horror skins Vampiress Mileena, Kraken Reptile and Pharaoh Ermac

The Klassic Pack #1:

- Playable character Tanya

- Klassic skins for Kano, Sonya and Liu Kang

The Predator/Prey Pack:

- Playable character Predator

- Predator-themed skins Commando Johnny, Infrared Scorpion and Carl Weathers as Jax

The Klassic Pack #2:

- Playable character Tremor

- Klassic skins for Quan Chi, Jax and Kung Lao

Eagle-eyed gamers will notice that the Klassic Pack 2 confirms the return of long-time favourite Liu Kang, until now unconfirmed as a playable character. In addition to the newly confirmed characters, NetherRealm also unveiled fighting variations for three of its previously confirmed characters. Shoryuken reports that the company’s latest live stream revealed combat variations for Mileena, Takashi Takeda and Kung Jin.

An archive stream shows that Kung Jin’s variations include Ancestral, Bojutsu and Shaolin variations. Takeda, meanwhile, employs Shirai Ryu, Lasher and Ronin variations, while Mileena uses Ethereal, Ravenous and Piercing styles.

As previously reported, the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of “MKX” have been delayed to summer. The game will be available on PC, Xbox One and PS4 on April 14; pre-orders on Xbox One are now available.
