The war will coming to an end in “The 100” season 5, but the heroes may be forced to once again head back into space in the finale episode. The madness of one man will threaten the very existence of the last liveable valley on Earth.

A preview video of the next episode released online [see below] shows how Paxton ‘Graveyard’ McCreary (William Miller) will destroy the valley by using missiles. The heroes have little time to waste, and they have to head into Diyoza’s (Ivana Milicevic) ship and head back into space.

McCreary was in a strong position in the last episode, after he ambushed Octavia’s (Marie Avgeropoulos) army and killed many of her soldiers. The preview video of the next episode clearly shows the army entering the valley and the prisoners surrendering.

There was a problem of leadership with Octavia’s army, as many of them refused to march. Will Madi (Lola Flanery) manage to unite the different sides of Woncrew and lead them to victory?

The preview video also reveals the reason why the two-part finale is named “Damocles.” The name comes from the nuclear missiles in space that McCreary will use in the next episode to destroy Eden.

With the imminent destruction of the valley, the heroes have no choice but to board the ship and head into space. Octavia, Abigail (Paige Turco), Clarke (Eliza Taylor) and the others can be seen boarding the ship. Will they leave someone behind?

Bellamy (Bob Morley) can be seen saying that he will not leave his friends behind. John Murphy (Richard Harmon), Monty (Christopher Larkin), and a few others appear to be out of time, which means they may have to stay back on Earth.

Clarke had to stay back in the last season, and this time it looks like it will be Bellamy. It will be interesting to see if the two characters will be reunited quickly, or if there will be another time jump in season 6.
