Xiaomi is expected to release a successor model for the Mi 4 soon. It has now been revealed that the unannounced Xiaomi Mi 5 will be released alongside another model called the Xiaomi Mi 5 Plus. Both the devices are poised to get unveiled in July.

At the beginning of this year, Xiaomi had released two high-end devices called the Xiaomi Mi Note and the Xiaomi Mi Note Pro. Since both the devices come with 5.7-inch display, it can be well understood that these devices are phablets. However, when it comes to a regular sized high-end smartphone, the company is yet to release a suitable handset this year.

According to Gizmo China, instead of just releasing a single successor device for the Xiaomi Mi 4 from 2014, the Chinese brand is speculated to launch two editions of the Xiaomi Mi 5 models. Fresh leaks reveal that the specs of both the devices have been spotted.

Xiaomi Mi 5 Specifications

The Xiaomi Mi 5 will be sporting a 5.2-inch display screen. It will be powered by Snapdragon 810 chipset. It will either feature a 3 GB or 4 GB of RAM. On the rear, it will be housing a 16 MP shooter and it will be loaded with a huge battery of 3,000 mAh capacity.

The device is also rumoured to feature a fingerprint sensor. The specs of the Xiaomi Mi 5 seem somewhat similar to the predecessor model. Since the device will be coming with the most recent Qualcomm chipset, the Mi 5 is expected to deliver topnotch performance

Xiaomi Mi 5 Plus Specifications

The larger edition of the Xiaomi Mi 5 is being dubbed as the Xiaomi Mi 5 Plus. It will be fitted with a massive 6-inch screen that supports Quad HD resolution. Rumours have it that the device will be featuring a bezeless screen.

Like its sibling, even the Mi 5 Plus will be powered by the Snapdragon 810 chipset coupled with 4 GB of RAM. The internal storage of the device will be 32 GB. It will be featuring a 16 MP camera with support for Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS). The details on the battery of the device are not known yet.
