Fans of George R. R. Martin's books have come up with new theories about "Winds of Winter." The theories relate to the religions of Westeros, the Faceless Men and the Stark children. The theory also connects the Doom of Valyria with the religions of Westeros. [Warning: Spoiler Alert!]

The fantasy world of Westeros has many gods with their respective followers. The gods include the Lord of Light, the Drowned God, the Many-Faced God and the faith of the Seven. Is there a connection to all the gods in Westeros? Some of the fans note the striking similarities between at least two religions.

Readers who have closely followed the book series know that Bran has reached the Three-Eyed Crow and is learning greenseeing. Bran's sister, Arya, is learning the arts of assassinations in the guild of the Faceless Men. But are there similarities between the forces guiding the two Stark children? One of the fans at Westeros forum believes that there may be some facts about the two that will be revealed in "Winds of Winter."

According to this theory, the kindly old man who took Arya in and gave her initial training may be the first Faceless Man in Valyria that defied the Dragonlords. His god, the God of Many Faces, may be the last Greenseer. The theory stems from the fact that both the Three-Eyed Crow, who is the said to be the last Greenseer, as well as the God of Many Faces have "a thousand eyes."

The theory of the Greenseers also connects to the Doom of Valyria many years ago. The theory points to the similarities in the powers of the Greenseers and the sorcerers who lived in Valyria many years ago. Will the fans discover some connection between Bran's Greenseer and Arya's Many Faced God in "Winds of Winter"? Such a connection could also shed more light on the Doom of Valyria.

One possible consequence of this revelation of the God of Many Faces to be the last Greenseer is that the Stark children may unite against their common enemies. One of the biggest enemies of the realm are the White Walkers. So far the Wall has kept them from entering the seven kingdoms. Will the White Walkers rise in "Winds of Winter"?
