Will Bran Stark help his brother Jon Snow in "Winds of Winter"? Some of the fans of the series speculate the future of the character. The brothers are still in the north and the upcoming book will decide the fates of many characters in the region. [Spoiler Alert]

Jon Snow was left in dire straits towards the end of "A Dance with Dragons." Fans of the series are divided in their opinion about whether he survived or not. But if he is not dead, there two people in the north who can come to his aide.

Bran Stark is in the north, beyond the Wall. With Bran's powers growing, will he be the one to help save his brother in "Winds of Winter"? One of the fans of the series at Westeros forum believes that Bran can help Jon by talking to him before the attack happens. So far he has been able to only see the events of the past, but will he be able to influence them as well?

Time travel is a tricky affair in any book and many of the other fans agree that the idea may put some big holes in the overall plot of the series. Others, however, contend that the author has dropped many hints at this possibility in the previous books.

Another possibility of Jon being saved in "Winds of Winter" is through Melisandre. She is a priestess serving the god of light R'hllor, she may be able to give bring back Jon from death just as Beric Dondarrion was brought back to life by Thoros of Myr.

Readers should note that Catelyn Stark was brought back from death by Beric Dondarrion and currently goes by the name Lady Stoneheart. Will Jon Show be saved by Melisandre and finally have an affinity with Catelyn? The birth mother of Jon has still not been officially revealed by the author and Catelyn has always had an uneasy relationship with Jon.

The other option is for Jon to be saved by a more loyal member of the Night's Watch and he recuperates on his own. Jon Snow has won the admiration of Stannis Baratheon, who will be going to battle against Ramsay Bolton's army in "Winds of Winter."
