Things are currently not going well between Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Caroline (Candice Accola) in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6. Executive producers Julie Plec and Caroline Dries recently talked about the ruined relationship between the two TVD characters in an interview to tease whether the Stefan-Caroline or "Steroline" friendship is really over or it will still continue.

In an exclusive E!Online TV Scoop report, Julie Plec teased that the upcoming episodes will reveal whether Stefan and Caroline find a way to fix their friendship. Caroline already told Stefan in "The Vampire Diaires" Season 6, episode 6 titled "The More You Ignore Me, the Closer I Get" that she does not want to be friends anymore after everything that has happened.

Plec admitted that Caroline is still very hurt because of Stefan's behavior and the Salvatore vampire has a lot of making up to do in order for Caroline to forgive him. Meanwhile, co-executive producer Caroline Dries teased in a TV Guide interview that Caroline will go through some stuff so she will eventually allow Stefan to be a part of her life again.

According to "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6, episode 7 synopsis in a Comic Book Movie report, Caroline will be racing against time when it comes to rescuing her mom, Sheriff Forbes (Marguerite MacIntyre), after she got caught in the middle of a dangerous plan. It looks like Stefan will make up for his mistakes by helping Caroline save her mother.

Dries added that the Stefan-Caroline friendship will continue but scenes featuring the two characters will now feel charged since Caroline has some deep feelings for him. "We'll continue to play their friendship-romance situation hoping some good juice will come out of it," the executive producer teased.

However, Caroline Dries warned that the "Steroline" fans must not expect the friendship-romance situation to happen quickly. The executive producer also admitted that Caroline is really hurt so repairing the friendship between the two will take time.

"It will pick up slowly but surely, but she is really hurt, especially after he dumped Ivy in her life. It was the icing on the cake of ruining their friendship in her mind," Dries explained. "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6, episode 7 titled "Do You Remember the First Time?" is scheduled to air on Thursday night, Nov. 13, at 8 p.m. ET on the CW Network.
