Although the role was offered to Taylor Lautner, Superhero Hype says that Twentieth Century Fox will cast actor Nicholas Hoult for the role of the mutant 'Beast' in "X-Men: First Class". Hoult will replace Ben Walker, who left the production to do some theatre work.

Hoult, who also appeared in "About a Boy" and TVs "Skins", is also with another studio tentpole, "Mad Max: Fury Road", but because the film recently got stalled and will resume filming in February, he will shoot "X-Men" first.

Another addition to the Matthew Vaughn directed prequel is Caleb Landry Jones, who has been casted as 'Banshee', according to Latino Review, and Lucas Till, who according to EW, is playing the brother of popular bespectacled "X-Men" mutant, Cyclops.

Rumours that Vaughn's "Kick-Ass" star Aaron Johnson will play Cyclops in the movie were also slammed by EW. Although Johnson was pictured luncing with Vaughn and the prequel's star James McAvoy recently, he won't be a part of the cast.

The "X-Men: First Class", which will be filmed in London, coincidentally signed up British actors for its cast.
