“Supernatural” is renewed for a brand new season. The CW has renewed the hit television show for a lucky season 13, which will be part of the 2017-18 television season. Therefore, fans can expect new adventures of regulars, as well as recurring cast members.

The news has come as part of a huge host of CW renewal announcements. Other television shows that were renewed for another season include “Supergirl,” “The Flash,” “Arrow,” “Legends of Tomorrow,” “Jane the Virgin” and “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.”

Therefore, fans can definitely look forward to see Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean Winchester’s (Jensen Ackles) next adventures. The latest episode of “Supernatural” season 12 sees Sam and Dean battling an apocalyptic force: the Darkness.

The current season of “Supernatural” is currently on a hiatus and will be back to the small screens this month. Misha Collins (Castiel) and Mark A. Sheppard (Crowley) remain to be part of the series in recurring roles.

According to TV Series, Samantha Smith (Mary Winchester), Elizabeth Blackmore (Lady Toni Bevell), Ruth Connell (Rowena), Kim Rhodes (Sheriff Jody Mills) and Briana Buckmaster (Sheriff Donna Hanscum) are expected to be guest stars this season. Katherine Ramdeen (Annie Jones), Rick Springfield (Lucifer), Kadeem Hardison (Russell Lemons), Kara Royster (Alicia) and Adam Rose (Aaron Bass) are also expected to make an appearance in “Supernatural” season 12 per the outlet.

TV Line has shared that the next episode of “Supernatural” season 12 will see Dean dealing with some memory problems. His memory issues will reportedly affect his relationship with the people around him.

Lucifer's (Mark Pellegrino) unborn child is another character that is expected to have the spotlight when the series returns. “Supernatural” viewers can recall that the woman he impregnated with had run away, but the child she was carrying will surely live. It will be interesting to see how Lucifer's child will affect the storyline of the season.

“Supernatural” season 12 episode 9 is titled “First Blood.” The show is set to return on CW on Jan. 26. It is yet to be announced if it will air on Fox8 for Australian fans on the same day.
