A video has surfaced online that examines what the opening crawl of “Star Wars: Episode 9” could be like. The purpose of the video is to see how the unpopular decisions that Rian Johnson made in his film can be reversed in the upcoming movie by J.J. Abrams. The following article contains spoilers from “The Last Jedi.”

In the video posted on the YouTube channel of Nerdist, there is scope for Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) to return in-the-flesh. What if the man who died in “The Last Jedi” was actually a clone? The death of the major character came as a big blow to many fans. This has been the biggest criticism against Johnson.

The other big decision that Johnson took was to drop Kylo Ren’s (Adam Driver) helmet. The character appeared to out-grow his obsession with becoming Darth Vader by using a mask. Once he took on the leadership position of the First Order, there was no need to use the helmet. The video, however, suggests that the new Supreme Leader can get a “rad new helmet.”

The other big disappointment in “The Last Jedi” was the death of Snoke (Andy Serkis). Although the death was necessary for Kylo Ren to rise, it happened before fans could really explore aspects of the character, where he came from and what he was doing during the rise and fall of the Empire. The video suggests that the character can return as a Force ghost.

Only the Jedi have mastered the art of coming back as a Force ghost so far. If Snoke returns in this manner, he will be the first villainous character to do so. The return of Snoke will give producers an opportunity to explore his backstory.

The video also makes fun of how Rey has been paired with both Finn (John Boyega) and Poe (Oscar Isaac), with no answer on who she will end up with. The next instalment may finally put an end to all the chatter about her love interest.
