English-Australian Sophie Monk's on-air revelation that she caught her boyfriend banging another woman sent radio network Austereo into lockdown yesterday.

Kyle Sandilands was interviewing the Aussie actress in LA when she dropped the bomb on 2DayFM's breakfast show.

However, because of the scandals that have infested the breakfast show for the previous year, the story that Monk's plastic surgeon boyfriend John Diaz cheated on her was immediately removed from the station's website.

Monk said they "didn't properly break up" although she had previously tried to stay away from Diaz.

"I rock up in the morning with a coffee and presents and he had a present there - a chick," she said.

Sandilands was quick to ask: "He was doing another chick?"

According to Monk, she began shaking after catching Diaz out and drove off, before turning back.

"[I] went, 'Hang on, in movies aren't you meant to do something?' So I walked back in and went, 'What's going on?' and actually had a conversation.

"I spoke to the girl. She was in shock. I didn't know her. She was innocent.

"[Then] I spilt coffee on his car very strategically."

Although the network publicises the happenings of Kyle and Jackie O from time to time, it now refuses to release yesterday's audio file.

"We are not actively promoting the chat from this morning with Sophie," said a spokeswoman.

The segment was not overtly offensive, but the action could have probably done as a precaution to keep publicity nightmares from occurring, like the rape scandal of June 2009.
