Police claimed they are ruling out foul play on the death of Daniel Sihvola whose body was found in Bulimba Creek in August, two weeks after he was reported missing.

Earlier, during the investigation, Sihvola's body was found partially clothed giving a sign that he had been involved in some sort of altercation. Police noted he had been recently estranged by his family, lost his job and was crashing into his friends' couches. These things proved to be shaky although it was revealed that he was not only a builder but was fully capable of fending for himself.

Recent reports noted Sihvola was about to meet someone in the park for a tryst until things went wrong. According to his friend, he had contacted another man in the park to have sex with him through the gay cruising Website squirt.org. The 31-year-old, along with a friend, went to the park to meet up with the man.

The unidentified man confirmed that while he did meet Sihvola but the intended tryst did not push through because the two friends seemed intoxicated with alcohol and drugs. He left the park and notified the police of what had happened after hearing the news about the builder. With this, the police questioned Sihvola's friend who admitted that they were indeed under the influence of drugs at the time but remained tight-lipped with what occurred in the following hours.

In a press statement, Detective Inspector Rod Kent admitted that they are now just waiting for the toxicology reports but were leaning toward a drug-related death.

''We believe this was a case of death by misadventure,'' Kemp said. ''We have ruled out foul play, but we haven't confirmed the cause of death. We think he may have fallen into the creek."
