The Seven Network is rushing the production of the Autsralian version of The X Factor to make sure that the show could have its premiere before the end of the year.

An insider from the reality talent program told The Daily Telegraph that the filming schedule has been upsurged.

"What takes six months to film for the UK will be done in six or seven weeks for Australia, so it's going to be very hectic," the source said.

The judges, which include Natalie Imbruglia, Ronan Keating, Kyle Sandilands and Guy Sebastian, will each direct a group, either 16-24 males, 16-24 females, contestants 25 or over, or groups and duos. They will lead their assigned group overseas in the next few weeks to mentor them and evict others.

Keating is reportedly taking his team to his hometown of Dublin, while Sandilands will take his to Los Angeles. Imbruglia and Sebastian have no confirmed destinations yet.

In the meantime, TSR has previously reported that producer Simon Cowell has been focused on the development on the Australian edition, following rumours that Seven has invested $22 million at his insistence.
