Those who have seen the first season of “Scream Queen” might remember that the season ended with someone sporting a Red Devil costume who scared Chanel Oberlin (Emma Roberts) at the mental hospital. Similarly, the second season ended with a reunion between Ms. Oberlin and the original devil. This time, the devil appeared in the backseat of Chanel’s Range Rover.

This faceless and mysterious figure has worked to disturb viewers and many having their own guesses who this person is exactly. Given the lower ratings season 2 received, this could mean that fans might never get an answer on the Devil’s identity.

Spoiler alert! This article contains "Scream Queens" spoilers. Read on if you would like to know what happens next before the new episode airs.

TV Line writes that fans have converged and have pointed out to Grace Gardner (Skyler Samuels) as the most likely person behind the mask. She has some good reasons for wanting Chanel dead. Grace suffered an emotional breakdown that compromised her sanity in the first season. In addition, her father died while seeking vengeance on her behalf. While both incidents happened without any fault on Chanel, the “Scream Queens’” logic should be considered, which puts Chanel virtually at fault for everything bad happening.

The storyline behind “Scream Queens” might be twisted, but some fans have gained a deep understanding of how it works and this has been used to analyse some unrevealed crucial details. The person behind the mask could be anyone. An unlikely candidate could even include Nurse Ingrid Hoffel (Kirstie Alley), who probably survived the quicksand incident, or Hester Ulrich (Lea Michelle) who somehow found a way to return from Murder Island. Perhaps it could be someone who has never been introduced in the show before.

There is no word yet from FOX about the return of “Scream Queens” for its third season. However, considering the steady decline of viewership ratings from Season 2, it is suggested that the show should rethink its formula. There are still a lot of details that fans would like to see more of, but such would not happen at all if “Scream Queens” will not get renewed for Season 3.
