When Oscar-winning actress Reese Witherspoon was honoured with the American Cinematheque Award on Friday night at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Los Angeles, she brought her two adorable kids to the star-studded ceremony.

The 39-year-old star was honoured at the event for her work in cinema. The event was a memorable experience for the “Legally Blonde” actress as her past co-stars, directors, producers and friends also took the stage to speak about her acting career and various accomplishments.

"This whole experience is just overwhelming and unbelievable because I'm literally just a girl from Nashville who had a big dream," said Witherspoon in her acceptance speech, according to E! News.

The petite actress also took the opportunity to describe her husband Jim Toth as "my biggest fan and my greatest champion and without whom I would never have scaled a mountain or started a new company or parented three amazing kids."

The beautiful actress then thanked her “amazing children” Ava and Deacon, who were present with her at the ceremony. She also expressed her gratitude to her children, especially her 3-year-old son Tennessee, who was at home and asleep.

“I just want to thank you for all the times you had to say goodbye to your mom while she packed to go on a location or for missing your school trips or special days because you were on some location in some far-flung area in Georgia or Louisiana or London or wherever and for understanding that I love my job, that it feeds my soul to be creative and how I hope one day it may feed your soul, too, and that you'll teach your children to be hardworking and creative and for knowing in your heart that no matter where I am in the world you are always with me," said the dedicated mother and actress.
