The PS4 experience is made to evolve alongside the Project Morpheus, which is Sony's take on virtual reality in gaming.

While considered to be one of the more polished versions of VR headset in the gaming industry today, Sony is now beginning to look at virtual reality with a bright future.

"We do now think that we can get to this point of delivering a magical sense of presence--where your brain tricks you into thinking you're actually in this place," said Sony Computer Entertainment CEO Andrew House in an interview quoted by GameSpot. "We think there's something there that could be really, really interesting for a next frontier of game development."

More than just letting you step into the virtual world, the PS4's Project Morpheus is aiming to transport players to another truly immersive world. And this is not just a simple project for Sony, but rather one where that has received quite a bit of backing and investment from Sony.

While the project remains to be one inspired by the virtual reality movement, Sony is just as open for it to become a mass market product in the future.

CVG states that there is interest in Sony to see where it will lead in the advancement of the "PS4 ecosystem". There are also the possible contributions of the Project Morpheus in opening more doors to explore the other potentials that the PS4 carries.

Project Morpheus has been compared to Oculus Rift, supposedly the first to test the waters of virtual reality headsets in gaming, and yet, previous reports have put the Project Morpheus at a better advantage in terms of development.

PS4's SHAREfactory Looking at More Improvements?

One of the PS4's much-used apps, the SHAREfactory, may be looking at improvements, as Sony celebrates this one feature that has been well-received by fans.

The new improvements may involve the optimization of the app, if a job listing spotted by GamingBolt is anything to go by.

The new listing is for an individual with experience in and understanding of GPU Computation and optimization, C++ and shader development and an application of all of these on the PS4 and its architecture.

Sony has not yet given any further announcements about what it plans for the next PS4 firmware update, but it would be interesting to see how this will play out.
