‘Prison Break’ Season 5 spoilers: Fans speculate the death of a major character

Fox’s “Prison Break” Season 5 is expected to premiere early 2017. The shooting for the hit TV series is in full force. Cast members recently wrapped up shooting in Morocco and returned to Vancouver. Dominic Purcell, who plays Lincoln Burrows, Michael Scofield’s (Wentworth Miller) brother, was seriously injured during shooting. However, shooting continued and the cast is upbeat about the show’s return.

As “Prison Break” fans eagerly wait for the premiere, many are speculating what the storyline will be about and how it will unfold. [SPOILER ALERT] One of the ongoing rumours about the show is that viewers may get a terrible shocker as one of the leading characters of the show may die. Although nothing is official, fans are speculating that Dr. Sara Tancredi (Sarah Wayne Callies) may be the one to die when Season 5 returns.

Dominic Purcell was generous enough to share some amazing details about the new season although he did not mention anything about Sara’s fate. Still, fans are speculating that Sara will be the one to die simply to provide a dramatic touch to the show. Her death may also open a new plot for another season, where Michael will have his revenge. Everything is in a speculation mode though.

Sara’s character was supposed to die in Season 1 itself but fans came to love Sarah’s character so much that the showrunners decided to keep her character alive for rest of the seasons. The character even faced a fake death in Season 3. But fans now believe that Sara will be killed off in the upcoming season permanently.

While it is fun to speculate, showrunners will definitely give it a second though as Sara is still a massively loved character along with Michael and Lincoln.

Many of the major characters from “Prison Break” last season are set to reprise their roles in the upcoming Season 5. Apart from Wentworth, Dominic and Sarah, Amaury Nolasco (Fernando Sucre), Robert Knepper (Theodore “T-Bag” Bagwell) and Rockmond Dunbar (Benjamin Miles "C-Note" Franklin) have joined the cast. Sara’s husband Paul Adelstein will be played by Paul Kellerman and Michael and Sara’s son Michael Jr, will be portrayed by child actor Christian Michael Cooper.

Those who are not aware of the storyline of “Prison Break” Season 5, Sara will be settled with her new husband and Michael Jr. However, her life will change yet again when she will learn Michael Scofield is alive and in a Yemen prison. It will be up to Lincoln and others to free Michael this time.
