Graham McTavish, the actor who plays the role of Dougal in “Outlander” TV series, answered some of the questions by the fans in a live Q&A session on Twitter. The questions ranged from hypothetical scenarios in the show to discussions about his experience while filming.

What would have happened if Dougal had gotten married to Claire, instead of Jamie? Answering the question on the live Q&A session on his official Twitter account, Graham McTavish said “It would’ve been a fiery home life, but definitely never boring!!” Dougal had attempted to force himself on Claire previously, but was later instrumental in arranging the marriage between Jamie and her.

Another fan wanted to know whether the actor did all the stunts in the shinty game that featured in one of the previous episodes of “Outlander.” The actor said that he had not done all the stunts in the scene, but did add that it was “great fun” to film the scene. The shinty game resembles hockey and this particular scene involved a lot of fighting in the spirit of the game.

"What one item from the set would you like to have at your house?" a fan wanted to know. Graham McTavish said that it was his horse Lambert. The actor reveals in another tweet that his horse “insists” on being called “Lambert” or sometimes the actor would call his horse “his grey gorgeousness.”

The actor however did not answer a question about what it felt like “riding a horse in a kilt” in the “Outlander” TV series. The actor did point out in another tweet that the costumes in the show were a “huge help” and that they “instantly transported” the actors back to 18th century.

A Canadian fan, Angela DA, wanted to know how often McTavish groomed his “awesome beard.” The actor replied that his beard had its “own personality now” and that it “grooms itself.”

Asked about what other character the actor would be willing to play in an episode of “Outlander.” Graham McTavish said that it would be “Mrs Fitz obviously.” The actor apparently loved her “wee bonnet.” Mrs. Fitz is the grandmother of Laoghaire Mackenzie, a character who is having strained relationship with Claire. McTavish said in another tweet that he wouldn’t want to “get in trouble” with either of them.
