'Outlander' Claire Makes 'libellous' Statements In Clip From Episode 10 [Watch Video]

Two new clips from the next episode of “Outlander” have been released online. One of the videos shows Claire meeting a major character for the first time in the TV series and the other video is about Geillis warning Claire not to go into the woods. [Spoiler alert]

“Outlander” episode 10 will introduce the character Duke of Sandringham, played by Simon Callow, for the first time. A clip released by the producers online shows Claire confronting the Duke about his apparent friendship with Jack Randall. The visibly agitated Duke tells Claire that her statement is “libellous” but later concedes that even if such a friendship existed; it would do no harm to his reputation.

In the first part of the season, Claire had used her knowledge of history to check if Jack Randall was protected by the Duke of Sandringham. She appeared to have uncovered the truth by claiming that she worked for the Duke, just as Jack Randall.

Jamie has plans to approach the Duke in “Outlander” episode 10, to find a way to lift the price on his head. Claire will try and persuade the Duke to ensure that Jack Randall doesn’t come after them. But, the Duke will require something in return from them, if he decides to help them.

The other video from the next episode shows Geillis and Claire walking around in a forest and hearing a baby cry. Geillis advices Claire not to go after the crying baby, saying that the baby is actually a “changeling” that belongs to the fairies. The changeling looks like a human baby but it does not grow like one. The fairies supposedly steal human babies and leave the changeling in its place. People then leave the changeling in the forest with the hope that the fairies return their child. Claire considers this to be “superstitious nonsense” and goes after the crying baby.

The producers have also shared some images from the upcoming episode. This image set posted on the official Twitter account of the TV series shows Laoghaire Mackenzie, Claire, Jamie and the Duke of Sandringham.

“Outlander” episode 10 will continue to show the development of the relationship between the Jamie and Claire. There are still challenges in their marriage and the previous episode showed how someone was using black magic against the couple.
