Just as fans eagerly awaited the Print Shop scene last year, there is another big moment to look forward to in “Outlander” season 4. The plot of next season is mostly based on “Drums of Autumn.” In a post on Twitter, author Diana Gabaldon teased the most highly anticipated scene. The following portion of the article contains spoilers from the upcoming season of the TV series as well as the novel.

Brianna (Sophie Skelton) will be travelling through time. But that is only half the challenge. There is still the question of finding the whereabouts of her parents. In the book, Bree finds out she will meet her biological father while having a beer.

Jamie (Sam Heughan) is busy urinating on a tree when his daughter first sees him. While Brianna is quick to recognise her father, the Scotsman takes his time.

The hesitation is understandable because Jamie doesn't expect to meet his daughter. He has only seen the photos that Claire (Caitriona Balfe) brought with her. Add the fact that Brianna's all grown up. Still, Bree takes after her father, which is something Jamie will acknowledge.

The TV series may make some minor modifications to this scene to surprise readers and keep the show enjoyable. However, the loving embrace of the father-daughter will be something that the writers will dare not change.

Meanwhile, Balfe shared a video of herself training for the London Marathon (see below). The actress will be taking part in the event to raise money for World Child Cancer charity. [Update: This article previously stated that Balfe's video shows herself in the marathon, which is not correct. She was only training. We regret the error.]

Filming of “Outlander” season 4 is ongoing in Scotland. The crew may have already filmed the scene of Brianna’s time travel. Leaked pictures from the production set from last week show the actress in her new costume.
