Gamers will be in a treat at the 2011 New York Comic Con in Oct. 13 - 16at the Javits Center in Manhattan. Nintendo has arranged special events and demos for its new games featuring favorite franchises like Mario, Legend of Zelda, Pokémon and Professor Layton.

In Oct. 14, Nintendo will give an exclusive screening of Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva, an animated feature film based on the puzzle-based mystery game franchise, Professor Layton. The screeening will be open exclusively to registered New York Comic Con attendees. At 8 p.m. in Room 1B01 of the Javits Center, an appearance of costumed characters, a game demo of Proffesor Layton and the Last Specter, and trivia contests await fans. Professor Layton and the Last Specter is the fourth installment in the Professor Layton puzzle adventure game series. Set as the prequel of all the games and features the case of the case that made Layton famous. Nintendo will also announce the winner of the Professor Layton and the Last Specter Quiz Challenge, a contest in Twitter.

Nintendo will open the Pokémon Gaming Lounge on Oct. 15 from 1- a.m. To 6 p.m. at Stage37, one block from the Javits Center at 508 West 37th Street. There Pokémon fans will get to play the Pokémon Rumble Blast Game before it Oct 24 Launch and various activities involving the Pokémon franchise including photo booths, oversized AR Markers for the Pokédex 3D Application, appearances of Pikachu, giveaways and other fun activities. The Pokémon Lounge will be free and open for the public.

Pokémon Rumble Blast is the first Pokémon game for the Nintendo 3DS. The game features 600 toy Pokémon to battle in full 3D without the need for special glasses because of the 3D technology of the Nintendo 3DS.
