This September, Netflix will be housing movies by Disney, Marvel and Lucasfilm. The offer is exclusive to Netflix subscribers.

Some Neflix subscribers query why they can watch some movies on a certain month and not in another. Screen Rant explains that this has something to do with Netflix’s deals with production houses. And an upcoming deal by Netflix with Disney is soon to take place this fall. The deal will bring numerous coveted franchises available in the streaming giant’s library and its customers, Screen Rant shares.

An announcement from Netflix says that their company will be the exclusive US pay TV home for the latest films produced by Lucasfilm, Pixar, Marvel and Disney. The announcement also included the release of new Netflix originals such as the Mascots and War Machine.

However, there are speculations that the movies to be released are limited. Hitfix reiterates that this agreement only applies to movies released starting 2016. Hence, the streaming company will not have access to “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” since Starz has the rights for the movie. The list for 2016 movies include “ Captain America: Civil War,” “Pete’s Dragon,” “The Jungle Book,” “ Alice Through the Looking Glass,” “Zootopia,” “Finding Dory,” “Queen of Katwe,” “Moana,” "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” “the BFG” and “Marvel's Doctor Strange,” among others.

As the September premier comes closer, the streaming provider will release specific dates and titles, Variety said. However, there would be Disney titles that would be leaving the library by June 2016. “Hercules” would be leaving on June 1, while “Mulan” and “Hunchback of Notre Dame” would be scrapped off on June 24. There are titles in the Netflix library that will continue to include “Lilo& Stitch,” “Tarzan,” “Emperor’s New Groove” and “Robin Hood.”

A similar deal with Disney was made by Netflix Canada. Their partnership started in 2015 after Netflix Canada’s contract with Bell Canada and Corus Entertainment expired. It is reported that Netflix projects a 20 percent escalation in movie watching from its U.S. members. This number is expected to rise by Memorial Day weekend.

Meanwhile, while waiting for the release of the Disney tie-up in September, subscribers can enjoy the new releases for the month of June 2016. Netflix released over 100 new titles for June alone.
