Local living icons Robert Forster and Ed Kuepper are just two of the two superstar acts set to perform at the Brisbane Fesrival this September.

Also to perform in the program are The GinClub, Underbelly's Marcus Graham who will appear as Macbeth, and the former Australian Idol winner Casey Donovan who will be Big, Beautiful and Sexy.

Apperently, no genre of entertainment was left out in Noel Staunton's first Brisbane Festival program.

The 22-day event will feature a lot of dancing, drama, art and music that will certainly entertain even the fussiest festival-crowd.

The multi-ARIA award winning Australian Brandenburg Orchestra will perform Baroque Tarantella and Ballet Nacional de Cuba will be dancing Don Quixote.

Photographer Douglas Kirkland will be having an exhibit at the Gallery of Modern Art and will showcase the different side of public figures such as Marilyn Monroe and Michael Jackson.

The start of the festival will be marked by Brisbane's most electrifying event Riverfire on September 4 and the whole event will run until the 25th.

Mr Staunton says he is excited to present the programme and has signed up engaging, vibrant and interesting artists.

"I'm proud that we will present five world premiere productions in 2010, seven Queensland premieres and ten Australian premieres," he said.

"I've made a point of working with many Australian artists this year alongside a select group of international guests.

"We have also achieved a great balance of ticketed and free community events."
