Kylie Minogue has made her way back to the small screen as a weathergirl.

The Australian pop singer reported the weather forecast on British morning program GMTV just after promoting her recent release, Aphrodite.

Regular presenter Kirsty McCabe first talked about the "barbie" weather in some parts of the UK. Minogue then followed with an update about the current weather situation in her hometown of Melbourne.

"The weather Down Under is going to be...er, what's it going to be?" Minogue, who was dressed in a blue animal-print frock, asked McCabe.

"A frosty start, showers clearing to a fine temperature of 14 degrees.

"Yay! My first weather forecast."

In the meantime, the pop star is very busy with the promotion of her 11th studio album.

Minogue, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in May 2005, told Attitude magazine that stress could have caused her illness.

She confessed that because of her insecurity, she used to be in "absolute states" before going up on stage to perfrom.

"After being ill, I just thought, 'OK I don't know whether it was the stress that made me ill or the illness made me that way.' I don't know - chicken or egg," she said.

"I would just be in absolute states before performing and I think there's always been a little voice in my head from when I started out, 'She can't sing, she can't do this, she can't do that'."

According to Minogue, she never bothered herself about it since her diagnosis.

"I just don't stress about being on stage anymore. There could be combined reasons, maybe I've just reached my stride and I love that I've had to earn that. No one can give it to you. You've just got to learn the hard way."

Her new release Aphrodite made it to number one on iTunes on Friday even though the sales for the album's first single All The Lovers were slow.
