The Duchess' first car, which she sold to a Chelsea resident, will be auctioned off on eBay and is expected to draw in as much as £30,000.

Sonny Brazil, the lucky 21-year-old who bought the car from the Middletons back in 2009, is now planning to make more money by selling the dark blue VolksWagen Golf on eBay. "It's amazing to think I only paid about £1,400 pounds for the car and now it's worth far more than that" says Brazil in a report by the Daily Mail. Aside from the car, Brazil will also sell receipts and log book with the Duchess' name on them, as well as a pair of sterling silver cufflinks that might have belonged to Prince William or the Duchess' brother James.

Sonny Brazil and Kate Middleton's first car

According to the original registration of the vehicle, Catherine Middleton is listed as the first owner who bought the VW Golf in 2001. The Duchess used to drive the car in and around St. Andrews University, where she met the Prince. All in all, the car was drive 60,000 miles before it was handed down to Brazil. According to the seller, the car was delivered by Kate's brother James. "James was very nice, a real gentleman. At the time I didn't put two and two together because he didn't exactly say he was related to Kate but when I noticed the log book and saw the first owner was Catherine Middleton I got quite excited", says Brazil in the same Daily Mail post.

Upon finding out the previous owner of the car, Brazil says he took extra measures to care for the vehicle. "I became quite precious about it and wouldn't let anyone else drive it, even parking it in a locked garage away from the house in case anyone tried to nick it", claims Brazil.

The car will be posted for auction tomorrow on eBay with a staring bid at £20,000.
