The 41st edition of the American Music Awards ended with a big bang and awarded singers/musicians based on their album sales, airplay, activity on social networks and video viewing. For this year's awards, veteran singer Justine Timberlake and country Princess Taylor Swift were declared as the biggest winners garnering numerous awards on different categories.

Justin Timberlake

Timberlake was nominated for 5 different categories: Favorite Album for Pop/Rock, Favorite Male Artist for Pop/Rock, Favorite Album for Soul/R&B, and Favorite Male Artist for Soul/R&B and Artist of the Year. Out of the 5 nominations, the former N Sync member took home three awards: Favorite Male Artist for Soul/R&B, Favorite Album for Soul/R&B and Favorite Pop/Rock Male Artist Award.

The 32-year-old has been very busy promoting his latest album the 20/20 Experience and his world tour. The tour is scheduled for Nov. 26 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, and the tour will last through Aug. 2014 at the Sap Center in San Jose, California.

Justin was also invited to perform for this year's award and he performed his latest single "Drink You Away." A few months ago, Justin was honored with the Michael Jackson Vanguard Music Award at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards in August, and him winning 3 awards at the AMA only shows that Justin is on a roll.

Taylor Swift

A sure bet for the best dressed artist for the 2013 American Music Awards, Taylor Swift wowed the red carpet with her brassy look as she rocked a short gold dress and fluffy hairstyle. But aside from dazzling the red carpet, Swift dazzled more when she received three awards out of the five AMA nominations.

The "22" singer was definitely in competition against strong nominees like Miranda Lambert for Favorite Country Female Artist, Artist of the Year against Rihanna, Bruno Mars and Justin Timberlake. But she conquered it all and took home Artist of the Year, Favorite Country Female Artist, Favorite Pop/Rock Female Artist and Favorite Country Album - Red.
