Hulk Hogan mistakes 'X-Factor UK' judge Cheryl Fernandez-Versini as an HIV-positive patient

Hulk Hogan suffered a major blunder after a Twitter user suggested that the “X-Factor UK” judge Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has HIV. The former World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) fighter tweeted a message of support for the judge without checking first if the user was telling the truth or not.
Hogan clearly had no idea who Fernandez-Versini was when he replied to a Twitter user named @MarkSingleton8’s request to greet his HIV-stricken sister. The user’s post has since been deleted but other users have already captured a screenshot of his tweet where he wrote, "Hi @HulkHogan my sister is HIV positive can she have a RT please," along with a photo of the delicate-looking judge.
As an act of goodwill, Hogan responded with a message of hope for @MarkSingleton8 and his supposed sister Fernandez-Versini.
@MarkSingleton8 tons of love and positive prayers for your sis,Gods got her, everything wil be good Only love HH

Eventually, fans told Hogan that he was just being played. Readers also told him the photo belongs to the “X-Factor UK” judge who is not HIV-positive at all.
@HulkHogan ignore the stupidity of some sick desperate attention seeking people! U are not at fault brother!! #peace

@HulkHogan this 'sister' is singer Cheryl Cole and she has some weight problems, not even close to being hiv positive.

Hogan has since also admitted to the misunderstanding on his Twitter.
Why do so many people on Twitter get so wack,it's really sad,I just don't know who to respond to anymore,I'm out HH

This is supposedly not the first time that Hogan has been pranked on Twitter. He has been an unknowing victim of cruel jokes on Twitter in the past. According to Mirror UK, he once re-tweeted a photo of Madeline McCann after a fan called her as his “niece” and that she was a fan of the fighter. He eventually learned he was being played when fans told him that McCann has been missing for years.
Hogan’s post about Fernandez-Versini being HIV-positive came amid speculations the “X-Factor UK” judge has an eating disorder because of her skinny frame. The former Girls Aloud singer has been criticised for her weight loss in the past months. However, Fernandez-Verini has since denied she has weight issues and also slammed haters in her previous interviews. She had opened up about body shaming during a previous interview with InStyle magazine in October.
“You'd never be allowed to say to somebody, ‘Oh, you look a bit fat.’ And being overweight is unhealthy – it's actually a bad message to tell someone who is obese that they look ‘curvy’ or ‘great’. But you know what? After this length of time, there's nothing I can hear about myself that I haven't already heard,'” she said.
