‘Heroes of the Storm 2.0’ event: Unlock skins for Genji and D.Va from ‘Overwatch’

Blizzard Entertainment has launched a “Heroes of the Storm 2.0” update. The developer is currently holding an event where participants will be able to unlock new skins of Genji and D.Va from “Overwatch.” The latest update aims to revamp its meta progression and how the gold system works.

Blizzard wants to add more people to its player base as well as retain veterans who have played since release. One of the features recently added is the Loot Box system from “Overwatch.” However, they call it Loot Chests this time around, and players found these even more rewarding.

Meanwhile, the event is called the Nexus Challenge 2.0, which involves having a new Quest every week. These must be completed in order as only one can be active at any given time. There will be a total of four Quests in the event, which players can finish until May 22, 2017.

The Quests in the Nexus Challenge 2.0 is not necessarily that difficult to accomplish since all players have to do is play five matches with a friend in Quick Match, Unranked or Ranked modes. However, only the first week allows players to accomplish the said Quest in A.I mode. All in all, they have to finish a total of 20 games to obtain all rewards for each week.

The next four weeks of the event will feature a different combination of both “Heroes of the Storm” and “Overwatch” loot. Although as weeks go by, they will provide better loots than previous ones. According to Blizzard, here are the rewards for each week in the Nexus Challenge 2.0:

Week 1:

Overwatch: Oni Genji Skin, Oni Genji Player Icon and Oni Genji Spray

Heroes of the Storm: Orochi Overcycle Mount (6 Color Variations), Oni Genji Warbanner, Oni Spray and Oni Genji Portrait

Week 2:

Overwatch: Officer D.Va Skin

Heroes of the Storm: Busan Police Hovercycle Mount

Week 3:

Overwatch: Officer D.Va Spray and Officer D.Va Player Icon

Heroes of the Storm: Overwatch Nexagon Mount, Officer D.Va Banner, Badge Spray and Officer D.Va Portrait

Week 4:

Overwatch: 10 Loot Boxes

Heroes of the Storm: 10 Loot Chests

Only Genji from “Overwatch” can be played right now, but D.Va will be joining the roster soon. Meanwhile, Blizzard also plans on adding the Hanamura Battleground in “Heroes of the Storm 2.0.”
