Haiyan's Viral Songs And Videos: We Are the World And SOS Philippines
More than a week after Haiyan's wrath, giant proportions kept pouring in from all corners of the world. Relief efforts from the U.S., United Arab Emirates, Australia, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, Israel and Singapore have arrived.
However, did those aids reach the far-flung areas of the typhoon-stricken provinces? The relief may have doubled but still the situation remains grim for survivors who are still picking through the wreckage of the storm. They all hope to rebuild their lives in the place where they once called "home."
What the survivors need is to know that the rest of the Philippines and the world are there to help them overcome this tragedy. Many viral songs and videos are making their rounds online to send the message of hope for the victims and asking the rest of the world to help this Asian nation in this time of dire need.
We Are the World for Philippines (Typhoon Haiyan)

Now the song has been resurrected with clips from Haiyan aftermath with survivors crying for help and trying to survive in the typhoon's ground zero with minimal food, water and medical supplies.
The video has now more than 2 million views since it was published Nov. 13 by Kevin Ayson. This inspiring video has touched millions of people around the world who are following the news about Haiyan and its epic destruction.
SOS Philippines - The Song After the Storm
Written four days after Haiyan's catastrophic after effect, Singer and Songwriter Armand Tj from the famed Boracay Island recorded this song Nov. 13 to uplift the grieving nation and reach out to the victims and the world in ways that only a song can. A music with a lot of soul, SOS Philippines is as rare as the feelings of every person affected of this tragedy.
"Through this song, we'd like to share what we have to offer the world - the Filipino spirit. This is our song after the storm. A song to unite the Philippines and the world, to weather any storm that shakes humanity," according to Armand Tj.
After it was published online, SOS Philippines MTV has more than 21,000 views and the SOS has reached Belgium to gather more prayer warriors and people to help out.
