A fan has managed to decipher what Sansa wrote in her letter in the recently aired episode of “Game of Thrones” Season 6. The fan used the zoom-and-enhance technique to find out what she wrote, and the contents reveal who she was writing to.

[Spoiler alert]

The Starks are amassing forces to take on the Boltons. However, they don’t have a strong enough army. The battle will determine who will take control of Winterfell and the whole north. Sansa (Sophie Turner) quickly realised that they need more men in order to win and wrote a secret letter to an undisclosed person.

A fan with the handle name of CreepyPancakes on Reddit, has deciphered what Sansa wrote in her letter. The contents of the letter confirm fan speculation that it is indeed addressed to Littlefinger (Aidan Gillen).

“[...] promised(?) to protect me. Now you have a chance to fulfill your promise [...] Knights of the Vale are under your command. Ride north for Winterfell. Lend us your aid and I shall see that you are [well/properly] rewarded," Sansa’s letter in “Game of Thrones” Season 6 reportedly reads.

Littlefinger has good reason to march north with the Knights of the Vale. Cersei (Lena Headey) had previously promised him the title of Warden of the North, after she learnt about Ramsay (Iwan Rheon) marrying Sansa and not informing the Iron Throne.

Sansa was previously married to Tyrion (Peter Dinklage), to ensure that the Lannsiters control the north. However, Tyrion refused to force himself on Sansa to get an heir.

The next episode of “Game of Thrones” Season 6 is expected to focus more on the siege at Riverrun. The preview video of episode 8 shows the action at King’s Landing, Meereen, Braavos and Riverrun. The main battle between the Boltons and the Starks may take place in episode 9.
