“Game of Thrones” co-executive producer Bryan Cogman recently said that at the heart of the HBO high-fantasy drama lies the main storyline of the “good” Stark family being torn apart. However, Season 6 has provided an auspicious start to Stark family members after certain reunions.

[Spoiler Alert] Jon Snow (Kit Harington), after his resurrection, was in for a giant surprise when sister Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) knocked at the gates of Winterfell after fleeing from the evil Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon). Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead Wright) was also saved and reunited by uncle Benjen Stark (Joseph Mawle) in episode 6.

Benjen revealed that he nearly died and turned into a White Walker, but Dragonglass saved him. So it’s looking up for the Stark family and GoT fans now dearly want Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) to be reunited with Jon Snow and Sansa.

Arya is in Braavos and in danger. Her training to be an assassin by Jaqen H'ghar (Tom Wlaschiha) and the wicked Waif (Faye Marsay) took a dramatic turn in Season 6, episode 6, “Blood of My Blood.” She was assigned a contract by Jaqen H’ghar to kill Lady Crane by poisoning her drink. Lady Crane (Essie Davis) is an actress in a play that depicts the events that unfolded in King’s Landing once Robert Baratheon (Mark Addy) died.

However, Arya’s conscience took the better of her and she saved Lady Crane and even revealed that the young girl, off the stage, who was trying to replace Crane in the play, wanted her dead. The Waif reported the event to Jaqen H’agar who ordered her to kill Arya. The reason Arya refused to kill Crane was because she found her to be good at heart and was confident that she did not deserve to die.

Arya’s storyline is very similar to that of Bran as both are revisiting and learning about the events in King’s Landing in different forms; Bran through his visions and Arya through the play. Ironically, Lady Crane was playing the character of Queen Cersei (Lena Headey) who she wants dead dearly. Yet, she saved Crane from dying in the backstage when Crane was about to drink her poisoned rum.

After returning to the House of Black and White, Arya took her sword Needle from its hiding place that Jon Snow had gifted her in Season 1. Fans believe that this depicts there will be a Jon Snow-Arya Stark reunion soon. The question is how? She has to escape soon as the wicked Waif will be there to kill her. Needle will help Arya, which in turn would mean, the Jon Snow connection is still there.

Will there be a reunion soon or is that idea too farfetched? Even if Arya protects herself from Jaqen H’agar, will she try and undertake another long journey to reach Winterfell?

“Game of Thrones” Season 6 airs on Foxtel at 11 a.m. and 7.30 p.m. Mondays.
