NASA flight engineer Karen Nyberg is one of the highly deemed female astronauts who became popular during her stay on the International Space Station.

An article made by Grand Forks Herald recalled how she felt intimidated when she first had a chance to change a tire at some point in her life, comparing it to aiming for the stars and the moon, literally as a NASA astronaut. According to Carrie Leopold, a North Dakota State College of Science outreach coordinator, there are many female individuals who seem to not aim high just thinking that they came from small towns like Minnesota.

And with this, NASA Astronaut Karen Nyberg serves as living proof and inspiration that even a Minnesota native like her can reach as far as the stars. The 44-year-old astronaut said that she is highly flattered for being seen as an inspiration to many women and young girls around her native town.
