A guy pretending to be a professional photographer asks nude photos from women who want to have a shot at modelling.

The fake photographer claims to be working for a New Zealand magazine and operates a Facebook account with the name David Higgs. Reports say that he has gotten in touch with a woman saying that he allegedly works for the NZV8 and NZ Trucking magazines. He offered to pay for the food and airplane tickets of the wannabe model. Mr. Higgs, who appears to live Down Under, even told the woman that she could live with him in Australia.

Mr. Higgs asked the young lady to send him nude photographs with the assurance that no one else would see these except him. To expose the fake photographer, the editor of the NZV8 Magazine ,Todd Wylie, posted on their official Facebook page the conversations the guy exchanged with the woman.

"What do you think we should do?" Mr. Wylie added to his Facebook post.

According to the magazine editor, the woman who was offered the modelling job in exchange of nude photos contacted them to verify the claims of Mr. Higgs. When the editor said that he wasn't at all part of their team, the woman did not hesitate to share several screen grabs of her conversations with the fake photographer. The editor insisted that their magazine does not feature any models.

Mr. Wylie said that similar situations have happened with their other magazine, the NZ Performance Car mag. He said that it was quite unfortunate how several girls have fell victim for it.

The magazine has no intentions of pursuing the fake photographer anymore as they do not see it as a worthwhile cause. This is not because they do not care for the models but because they think that since the guy put up a fake profile in Facebook, he can easily just come up with a new one again.

"We thought it was better just to get the word out and create a bit of a stir," Mr. Wylie said as a warning to other women who would risk giving everything to fulfil their dreams of being a model.
