Arsene Wenger has been urged by Arsenal's former midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong to play Lukas Podolski. Although the ex-Wolves loanee is currently playing for Russian side FC Ufa, he is still on the lookout for his old club teammates' welfare. Frimpong's desire for Wenger to give Podolski more chances is based on his interest to see the German get more opportunities. According to Frimpong, such a chance - Podolski and Wenger play - comes rare this season. To see the same would surely also stir the interest of many.

In his Twitter account, Frimpong tagged ArsenalMail and said, "Lukas Podolski is not a player I'm willing to sell, insists Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger," and commented thereafter, "Then play him."

Podolski on the other hand has been rumoured to transition to Inter Milan after a new transfer window has opened for him. However, he has admitted being unsettled by the idea of a new transition considering his lack of football.

As to validate Frimpong's tweet, Arsene Wenger has great faith on Podolski and seems to be not yet ready in letting go of his important squad player. For Wenger, Podolski remains a valuable player whose potential is not yet fully unleashed. This is despite the fact that Podolski became an unused substitute against QPR.

From what can be deduced of Wenger's affection over Podolski, he refuses to cave in to the tweets because whether Podolski will play with the Germans or not, it seems like the Germans still get their opportunity of earning more chances. To note, Podolski has more goals compared to the start of the season.

Now that Olivier Giroud has been suspended, Podolski's match against West Ham United and Southampton may just be his make or break match. It will define his fate at Arsenal but it is still up to Podolski how he'll play his game. He can either choose to level up his performance against West Ham United and Southampton, or he can start thinking about possible teams where he can make a successful transition next year.
