A new sports anime entitled "Days" released its debut episode on July 2. Based on a best-selling slice of life "shonen" manga written and illustrated by Tsuyoshi Yasuda, the series was published by Kodansha for Weekly Shonen Jump. The anime adaptation was produced by Tokyo MX.

The story focuses on Tsukushi Tsukamoto, a shy first year with a frail build, and his desire to become a member of his school's soccer team. The episode began with his school's opening ceremony where he was accompanied by his childhood friend Sayuri Tachibana (voiced by Sakura Ayane) and his mother. He then met Jin Kazama, a soccer prodigy, who invited him to a few rounds of futsal with his friends.

During the game, Tsukushi experienced multiple injuries such as tripping on his feet and bumping face-first into the goal post. Despite the mishaps and his lack of knowledge concerning soccer, he persevered and eventually won the game for his team. After the match, Tsukushi thanked his new friend for the invitation and for showing him how fun the sport can be.

He then signed up for the soccer club. However, due to his inexperience and low stamina, he fell behind the others. He then asked the team captain Hisahito Mizuki to time him while he ran some laps. Sayuri and Jin later find him running despite the callouses on his feet. Jin then acknowledged his determination and supported his desire of becoming a soccer player.

"Days" has been announced to have 24 episodes. The leading cast consists of Takuto Yoshinaga as Tsukushi Tsukamoto, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Jin Kazama, Daisuke Namikawa as Hisahito Mizuki, Daisuke Ono as Atsushi Kimishita, Mamoru Miyano as Kiichi Oshiba and Takahiro Sakurai as Yuta Usui. Prior to its release, "Days" became one of the most searched upcoming sports anime.

The Kodansha manga "Days" from Tokyo MX is predicted to be one of the best sports anime on TV. Fans are expected to tune in every week.
