'Days of Our Lives' recap for August 1 - 5, 2016: More hints about Tate’s kidnapping revealed; soap takes a break for the Olympics
“Days of Our Lives” will be taking a break from August 8 to 19, 2016 for the 2016 Summer Olympics
During the August 1 to 5, 2016 episodes of “Days of Our Lives” (DOOL), Nicole (Arianne Zucker) and Deimos (Vincent Irizarry) took their relationship to the next level. More hints about Tate’s kidnapping also surfaced.
In August 1, Hope (Kristian Alfonso) was angry with Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) about Aiden (Daniel Cosgrove). Hope recently came back home from the hospital, while Jennifer sought for help from an unlikely source. Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) also received some surprise news while Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan) began working under her.
On August 2, Caroline (Peggy McCay) had a vision of Victor (John Aniston) being involved in Tate’s kidnapping. Sonny (Freddie Smith) and Paul (Christopher Sean) spent some time bonding. John (Drake Hogestyn) and Brady (Eric Martsolf) acquired a lead in the kidnapping incident. John and Marlena (Deidre Hall) also had a romantic time together.
On the August 3 episode, a shocking revelation was made on the culprit behind Gabi’s (Camila Banus) attack in the park. Chloe shared her new information with Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier). Deimos told Nicole that he loves her. Dario (Jordi Vilasuso) will find it hard to forgive his father.
In August 4, Nicole let Chloe know about Deimos’ proposal. Nicole and Deimos also had sex. While Chad (Billy Flynn) and Jennifer proceed with their custody battle, the former also thought about his dad.
Finally, on the August 5 episode, Jack came back for a visit for Jennifer and Abigail was said to be “dead.” Rafe (Galen Gering) and Hope had a romantic evening together. JJ (Casey Moss) vented out on Chad. Justin (Wally Kurth) was worried that he might lose his job or suffer worse consequences.
Several familiar characters will also be coming back in a huge plot, namely Leann Hunley (Anna), Charles Shaughnessy (Shane), Patsy Pease (Kim) and Larry Poindexter (Father Louis). They will allegedly appear sometime in Christmas. According to Ken Corday, Abigail will also come back after Christmas, while another plot will also focus on Nicole, together with a baby story.
“Days of Our Lives” will be taking a break from August 8 to 19, 2016 for the 2016 Summer Olympics. The soap will resume on August 22 with all-new episodes. “DOOL” airs on weekdays on NBC. It also airs on Arena in Australia.
