BlackBerry has launched a new trade-in program to attract iPhone owners to switch over to the BlackBerry Passport. The deal is currently available for iPhone users in the U.S. and Canada. The trade-in deal is offering up to $550 iPhone owners if they buy the all new BlackBerry Passport.

According to BlackBerry, owners of iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5S, iPhone 5Cand iPhone 6 are eligible to take advantage of the BlackBerry Trade-up program. Also, buyers are required to purchase a BlackBerry Passport on or after Dec. 1, 2014. The deal will last from Dec. 1 to Feb. 13, 2015.

If you own a iPhone 4S, you can avail a trade-in value of up to $90 and also earn a BlackBerry top-up of $150 that brings the offer total to up to $240. For iPhone 5 owners, a trade-in program of up to $150 is available, along with users can also benefit from $150 BlackBerry top-up. The offer value for iPhone 5 increases to up to $300.

The iPhone 5C owners are provided with a trade-in value of up to $300 alongside $150 BlackBerry top-up. It brings the offer calculation to up to $280. There is a trade-in value of up to $ 235 with $150 top-up that raises the offer value to $385 for iPhone 5S users. BlackBerry is ready to exchange the iPhone 6 handsets through a trade-in value of up to $400 along with $150 BlackBerry top-up, thereby offering a whopping offer total of up to $550.

According to VentureBeat, the offer value will depend on the condition of the iPhone devices that will be traded by the customersTo qualify for the deal, users are required to furnish the bill of an eligible iPhone and purchase of Passport smartphone. Only those BlackBerry Passports handsets that are purchased from ShopBlackBerry.com or Amazon.com will qualify for the BlackBerry Trade-up program. And then, BlackBerry will send the prepaid card to the buyer through mail along with the top-up.
