The curtain falls on “The Big Bang Theory” Season 8 this Thursday, May 07. The episode 24, titled “The Commitment Determination,” will see the unfolding of dramatic relationship changes. Sheldon is set to make a huge decision but Amy wants to take a relationship time-out.

Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Amy (Mayim Bialik) as well as Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Penny (Kaley Cuoco) are set to make “some huge, life-changing decisions” in Season 8 finale, Steven Molaro, showrunner of “The Big Bang Theory,” said to The Hollywood Reporter.

Leonard and Penny may end up making a huge decision -- set their wedding date -- because of Sheldon, as in the final episode of “The Big Bang Theory” Season 8, Sheldon will be seen pushing Penny and Sheldon to set their wedding date. In addition to that, he will be seen dealing with “dramatic changes in his own relationship with Amy,” according to the synopsis of the episode.

“The Commitment Determination” will see the fifth anniversary of Amy and Sheldon’s first date/first meeting. In the still shots released of the episode, Amy and Sheldon can be seen kissing each other [Check Shamy’s intimate kiss here]. Another photo suggests that Shamy couple are arguing about something. According to THR’s report, on their fifth anniversary, Amy will be seen pushing back as she wants her and Sheldon’s relationship to stop moving at a snail pace. She wants it to pick speed. This will make Sheldon point at another slow couple. They got engaged more than a year ago but have not yet set their wedding date. “The Big Bang Theory” Season 7 finale saw Leonard and Penny getting engaged.

The spoilers leaked online reveal Amy will tell Sheldon via Skype she needs time to sort out things, as she has gone through a “wringer” physically as well as emotionally. It is not something that Sheldon was expecting to hear but according to the spoilers, he will be seen saying goodbye, without a word of protest. However, Shamy’s story does not end here, according to the spoilers. Sheldon has a ring box containing an engagement ring in his desk. With Amy wanting a relationship time-out, Sheldon does not know what to do with it.

The episode will also see Raj (Kunal Nayyar) thinking that he and Emily (Laura Spencer) may not be a perfect match for each other. Plus, Howard (Simon Helberg) and Bernadette will try to give Stuart (Kevin Sussman) an eviction notice.

CBS has already renewed “The Big Bang Theory” for Season 8 and Season 9.
