Rip Curl Pro

As well as various sporting events held on land, Australia is also set to host a number of water-based sporting events with Rip Curl Pro perhaps one of the most highly anticipated. Bells Beach in Victoria will be the location of this year’s famous surfing competition, which also happens to be its 59th run, as it takes place during its traditional slot of the Easter Weekend from April 10 until April 20 to kick off the Australian leg of the World Surf League Championship for the first time in over 20 years.

This year Australia will host the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. Last year, in the UAE and Oman, the Aussie team beat New Zealand to claim their first T20 title, losing their only other final appearance in 2010 to West Indies. Now, back on home turf and with a talented squad, they’ll be eager to win, with the bookies placing them among the favourites for the competition with India, England, and New Zealand. The tournament begins in October and November of this year.
