In Australia and various other countries, Asus is selling different ZenFone models like the ZenFone 4, ZenFone 5 and ZenFone 6. And now, it is all set to unleash a new ZenFone at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2015. Asus has also unveiled a new budget smartphone called the Pegasus X002

According to GSMArena, the Asus Pegasus X002 is a Redmi 1S killer smartphone as it comes with an affordable price tag of $128 or AU$157 at the current exchange rates. The handset has been launched in China but as of this writing, there is no news on when the handset will hit the global markets.

The Asus Pegasus X002 is a dual-SIM smartphone that allows users to access 4G connectivity on the first SIM and 2G connectivity on the second SIM. It comes with a 5-inch display screen that supports 720 x 1280 pixels.

Under the hood of the Pegasus X002 lies the MediaTek 64-bit MT6732 chipset, which comprises of a Cortex A-53 quad-core processor and 2 GB of RAM. On its rear, there is an 8 MP camera whereas at the front, there is a 5 MP shooter. The inbuilt storage of the device is 16 GB. It comes with Android 4.4 KitKat overlaid with Zen UI and is packed with a massive 2,500 mAh battery.

New Asus ZenFone

9 to 5 Google claims that just as Asus had announced the currently available ZenFone models during the CES 2014, in the same way, it is going to roll out a new ZenFone during the forthcoming CES 2015 event that will be held in Las Vegas on Jan. 5. According to Android Police, the unreleased ZenFone may come with a dual camera setup on its rear.

The image of the device indicates that it would sport a dual camera setup like the ones available on the HTC One M8 and LG G3. On the other side, Digital Trends claims that the handset may feature a single camera lens along with dual-LED flash according to the image published on its post.
