Android 4.5 Lollypop OS will be launched in July and showcase its HTML5 interface and chrome and search integration.

The new version of the Android operating system will be introduced alongside Google Nexus 8 in July.

Google has not revealed its new dessert name of the mobile software but the dessert should start with letter "L." This promted to speculations that Google is toying with Lollypop, Laddu and Lemon Cheesecake. But more than the new name, users are more concerned on the new features the new OS will bring forth. Consumers can expect to hear more as the tech event nears.

Google's Android 4.5 is expected to bring a change by unifying Chrome, Android and search altogether.

According to Android Police, Google will significantly revamp the user interface. The report said the company was currently experimenting with Project Hera, which "essentially represents Google's effort to unify the experience users have in Android, Chrome and Search all on your Android-powered devices."

Google's new interface will be the new HTML5-style interface, which allows actions to run without fully opening the app. Also, Project Hera would allow easier integration between Chrome and search on mobile devices running Android. Hera is believed to be built on Google's Chromium platform.

The Bitbag reported other features of the next-gen Android OS are "additional support for processor and graphics chipset, support for 64-bit processors, enable usage of higher RAM chipset, expanded software drivers, better management of defragmentation, retain 512 MB RAM support from Android KitKat, wider compatibility with mobile networks, improvements on the camera, video and audio experience, expanded gaming experience, better multitasking, performance and battery life, optimization for smoother user experience, more usable apps and services, management on bloatware, re-enable microSD card writing support and segmentation of firmware for older devices."

While some users were patiently waiting for the Android 4.4.3 Kitkat OS and Android 4.5 Lollypop, some Android-based smartphones have not received the 4.4 Kitkat OS update.
