After the release of “WWE 2K” last week comes another wrestling game that is anything but conventional. Created by Folmer Kelly, the developer of games like “Golf is Hard,” “Wrassling” is an absurd mobile wrestling game that mixes the infinite formula found in most mobile games with the Royal Rumble for a completely unique experience.

“Wrassling” will have players in a ring, as they attempt to stay in it, while also trying to throw as much opponents over the top rope as they can, just like in the Royal Rumble. However, unlike that particular WWE event, the amount of wrestlers who will be charging the ring are infinite and they tend to fall from the sky to add to the absurdity, according to Touch Arcade.

As the game goes on more enemies will surround the ring, making it harder to stay in there. Soon enough, players will encounter large enemies that will be much harder to eliminate from the ring than the regular ones, providing another challenge in this title.

One other aspect that makes the game unique is its graphics. While a game like “WWE 2K” attempts to emulate the look of a PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 game, “Wrassling” looks more like a title that came from the Commodore 64, with colorful stick figures that barely have faces representing the characters of the game. Players can also make their particular character stand out by giving them a hat, though it probably won’t be staying there for long with the amount of opponents that will fill the ring.

Pocket Gamer reports that “Wrassling” will be a free download, with only one in-app purchase that is entirely optional, as it just gets rid of the ads. The game will also come with weekly leaderboards for competitive gamers, along with custom achievements and daily objectives that will give players more to do than simply throwing other wrestlers out of the ring.

“Wrassling” will be available on April 23 for both iOS and Android devices. Wrestling fans shouldn’t expect the realism of “WWE 2K,” but they can probably expect to have an enjoyable time.
