Stephen Collins finally confesses to the sexual abuse of some underage girls. Many speculations and rumours emerged after his leaked admission on a therapy session emerged; this time, he wants the one to set the record straight on what really happened.

Two months after the "7th Heaven" star Stephen Collins' leaked therapy sessions come out, he is now admitting to his inappropriate sexual conduct with three underage girls from the year 1973 to 1994. However, he also wanted to clear the exaggerated stories that emerged after the recordings of his therapy sessions circulated, making him lose his employability and income resources. In a thousand-word statement to People magazine, Stephen Collins admitted that he did engage in some lewd conduct with young ladies forty years ago. He said he deeply regretted doing them and had been atoning for them ever since. He said he is now personally addressing these incidents now to the public because various news organizations have already published his leaked recordings made by his ex-wife Faye Grant even without his consent and he is the only person who could clarify what truly happened.

"On the recording, I described events that took place 20, 32, and 40 years ago. The publication of the recording has resulted in assumptions and innuendos about what I did that go far beyond what actually occurred. As difficult as this is, I want people to know the truth," Stephen Collins said

In his statement, Collins said that he exposed himself twice to a preteen female back in 1973, when he himself is just 25 years old. In his home, he also engaged in inappropriate conduct with this girl. He said that while watching TV together with the girl, he moved her hand that it caused the girl's hand to brush him inappropriately. The actor claimed that it was an impulsive act haunting him up to now. He said he could not imagine the ordeal he put the girl through. He also exposed himself to underage females for duration of 12 years from 1982 to 1994.

In the statement, he said that he tried to atone for his misdoings by apologizing to the girls he traumatized, 15 years later. He was able to successfully apologize to one of the women, who graciously accepted his apology. He did not try to do so with two other ladies, including the one he said placed her hand on his private part because of his ministrations, because he realized through his therapy sessions that he could open old wounds for these ladies by approaching them. According to TMZ, this woman, is now angry that Stephen Collins would minimize the said misconduct and even assumed that apologizing to her and the other lady, would "open their old wounds." For her, Stephen's decision not to apologize is nonsensical.

Apart from this detailed statement, the esteemed actor is set to have an in-depth interview with Katie Couric regarding this confession. This will be streaming on Yahoo and will be airing on ABC's 20/20 on Friday.
