Getting past high school and now just about ready to conquer the big screens with their college stunts, Jonah Hill (Schmidt) and Channing Tatum (Jenko) excite fans as they share their takes on the new comedy movie "22 Jump Street" prior to its worldwide release.

In a new Daily Mail report, Hill and Tatum appear to have extended the comedy as they each talk about the sequel to "21 Jump Street," the movie where the duo first showcased their unquestionable bonding.

"Making a sequel is a very lazy, unoriginal idea and we called ourselves out for understanding that sequels are always just worse and more expensive than the first one," Jonah Hill shares in what appears to be a joking manner.

The two-time Academy Award nominee and 30-year-old actor is known for his comedy roles in movies such as "Superbad" and "This is the End."

Hill, playing Schmidt, may not have won an Oscar for his performance in "The Wolf of Wall Street," but the actor still got his golden popcorn in the 2014 MTV Movie Awards for his performance in the same movie. Hill also won a "Creative Impact in Acting" Award during the Palm Springs International Film Festival.

Meanwhile, Channing Tatum, who recently snagged the Gambit role in "X-Men: Apocalypse", and is playing the role of Jenko, sounds less jokingly as he shares his experience while filming "22 Jump Street."

"It was less scary," Tatum tells the online news Web site Daily Mail.

The 34-year-old actor, who also won in the 2014 MTV Movie Awards with his "Trailblazer" award, admits that the first time he acted in the first installment of the comedy movie, "it was really scary."

"Sometimes something you think could be funny just does not work but you have to just give it up, all of it," Tatum explains.

Channing Tatum, known for his roles in romance and action movies, has recently admitted to Empire magazine that he is more confident now in comedy roles.

Considered to be one of the most anticipated movies in the summer of 2014, "22 Jump Street" is expected to live up or even top its first movie installment.

With high expectations, Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum are expected to grace the silver screens in Australia on June 19.
