The first trailer for “X-Men: Apocalypse” is only a month away from its release. Simon Kinberg, co-writer and producer of the film, personally revealed the date of the preview's debut in a recent interview. Coincidentally, the trailer release is also attached to the preview for “Captain America: Civil War.”

In an exclusive interview with Collider, Kinberg revealed that the trailer for the Bryan Singer-directed film will debut in theatres, specifically with the release of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” The seventh episode in the “Star Wars” film saga will open in the U.S. on Dec. 18.

“Our first trailer will be on Star Wars: The Force Awakens. It’s our first thing out there so it is somewhat of a teaser but it’s certainly longer than a minute and it has a ton of cool stuff in it,” Kinberg said. He also added that he “can in fact confirm that information.”

Apparently, the trailer release for “X-Men: Apocalypse” also coincides with the debut of the “Captain America: Civil War” trailer in theatres. Collider initially reported this information after noticing a rather cryptic collage posted online by a Twitter user with the handle name Russo Brothers. It’s unclear if the account really belongs to the “Captain America: Civil War” co-directors. However, an avid Collider reader named Eric was able to identify the photo as something that referred to “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”

Eric told Collider that one of the photos in the collage is from a classic “Star Wars” movie poster, while the other seems to look like the star in Captain America’s shield.

Brothers Joe and Anthony Russo likewise mentioned in a recent panel interview at the Community College in Cleveland that the film's trailer “is almost complete.” A Reddit user named MrMaverick576 asked Anthony how the trailer for “Captain America: Civil War” is coming along, and he revealed that “with just a few special effects left to edit in, it should be out soon.”

However, both Anthony and Joe Russo did not actually reveal when the trailer will be released. They also did not comment on the rumours that the preview for “Captain America: Civil War” will come out in theatres with “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”
