The race to earn the “X Factor Australia” 2016 title is going down to the wire, and the remaining five contestants are expected to fight with all they’ve got on Sunday’s live semi-final episode.

As the top five sings their hearts out for the performance that decides who will make it to this season’s finale, the stage will be filled with a lineup of star-studded guests. Fans are looking forward to see the live performance of British pop group Little Mix, who won “X Factor UK” back in 2011. Jesy Nelson, Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall are set to sing their latest smash hit, “Shout Out To My Ex,” which is part of their new album, “Glory Days.”

Apart from Little Mix, Australian duo The Veronica will set the stage on fire with their new single, “On Your Side,” according to the reality show’s official website. Even more exciting, “X Factor Australia” former winners Cyrus and Samantha Jade will perform a duet of the emotional track “Hurt Anymore.” Released earlier this month, the single is co-written by Samantha with Iain James and Jez Ashurst.

In the previous episode, another former “X Factor Australia” winner graced the competition. Dami Im, who also became Eurovision Song Contest 2016 runner-up, went from the global stage back to where it all began. After giving a pep talk to some of the contestants, she performed her latest single, “Fighting For Love” [watch below] with the top 7.

It certainly would be one episode that is hard to beat, but the upcoming semi-finals week promises to be even more exciting. On its official Facebook page, “X Factor Australia” gave a preview of what’s in store for its fans on one spectacular night. Still on the top five this season are Amalia Foy, the school girl with an angelic voice and Isaiah Firebrace, dubbed the boy from the bush. The two belong to judge Adam Lambert’s Under 22s, and some fans forecast they’ll be the singers to beat.

Adam’s fellow mentor, Mel B, also has her team intact, with the Underdogs category fully represented by the sassy female trio Beatz and playboy Vlado Saric. Guy Sebastian, on the other hand, is betting on his lone contender, Davey Woder. Iggy Azalea doesn’t have any singer left, as both Aya and Brentwood earlier got voted out.
