According to a recent announcement, World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) superstar Brock Lesnar will be locking horns with the Celtic Warrior Sheamus at an upcoming live event for the company.

It was a moment of joy for the WWE fans last March, when the Beast, Brock Lesnar announced his contract renewal with the wrestling promotion.

It was a clear indication that viewers will get to see more of Brock Lesnar in the ring with other WWE superstars. The most important feature of Brock’s new contract was that he had to feature in more live events than he has done in his previous contract with the company.

On Tuesday night in Houston, Texas, the fans were overjoyed when a local ad announced that Brock Lesnar would be wrestling the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus at a live event in Toyota Centre on Jan. 8, 2016, as reported by whatculture.com.

The Celtic warrior, Sheamus is not one of the headliners of the company. However, many will feel that the wrestler is a proper opponent for the Beast, given the nature of style both the wrestlers possess. Experts feel that the two will complement each other in the ring and it will be a treat for the fans to watch both of them one-on-one against each other.

In 2015, Brock Lesnar has featured in three live events for WWE. He started with a squash victory over Kofi Kingston in Tokyo on the WWE Network. The Beast then followed with a dominating victory over The Big Show in the traditional WWE venue, Madison Square Garden last October and then earlier this December, he faced against Alberto Del Rio at a live event in Los Angeles’s forum.

Given Brock Lesnar’s popularity with the current youth, it would be fun to see him feature in more WWE programming than he has been.

The man from Webster, South Dakota has been a part timer since his return to the company from UFC in 2012. He has featured in various feuds with WWE greats like John Cena, Big Show, CM Punk and most notably The Undertaker, whose legendary streak of 21-0 was broken by him in WrestleMania XXX, thus featuring into the WWE history books forever.

The fans are eagerly awaiting another major development, which will reveal Lesnar’s next opponent in the upcoming WrestleMania, scheduled to be hosted in Dallas, Texas.
