Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) looks brutal in "The Walking Dead" Season 5 posters, sneak peek photos and trailers. To a great extent, his beard has played an important role in defining his image as the 'brutal Rick'. However, a beardless Rick was reportedly spotted on "The Walking Dead" set.

"They still appear to be filming. Word is either Michael/Abe or his double is one set. Steven has been spotted along with Melissa again.

Andrew Lincoln talked to Entertainment Weekly about the epic Rick Grimes beard in "The Walking Dead" Season 5.

He revealed that when he came to know about the nature of "The Walking Dead" Season 5 which is going to be quite brutal, he decided that his character would need a bigger beard.

So, Lincoln just grew the beard and it was his preparation for the role. He revealed that he loves his beard and it has become his close friend.

However, he said that the moment he gets a razor he might shave it off.

Meanwhile, the crew of "The Walking Dead" was getting ready to set up the bell tower for filming.

Fans are getting excited about the show returning with Season 5 and the premiere episode is going to pick things up from Season 4 finale.

The immediate threat in front of the survivors is the Termites as Rick Grimes and company are trapped in a train car. Rick said in the past that Gareth and others are messing with the wrong people. The trailers and sneak peeks for "The Walking Dead" Season 5 made it clear that the survivors will leave no stone unturned to defeat their enemies.
