It is time for "The Walking Dead" mid-season finale. Last year's mid-season finale instalment was brutal in every sense. It saw the prison group battling it out with The Governor's army and Rick's team lost Hershel Greene. Will the fans witness another major character's death in "The Walking Dead" Season 5, Episode 8 titled "Coda?" Read on to find out more.

The promo for Season 5 mid-season finale opens with Rick Grimes monologue.

"I am Rick Grimes."

"You have two of my people."

He wants to have a dialogue with the guys in the hospital. Rick walks up to a police car with his hands in the air. He tells them that they (hospital group) have Beth and Carol and he is here to make a proposal. Daryl Dixon and Sasha have taken up the sniper duties as they aim at something.

The next scene shows Father Gabriel and he looks horrified. "The Walking Dead" mid-season finale reveals that it is not going to be easy for Rick and others to bring back Beth and Carol.

Synopsis for "The Walking Dead" Season 5, Episode 8 - "Coda"

"New enemies disregard rules and morals; although Rick wants to find a peaceful agreement, the enemies seem to prefer a more violent resolution."

Official synopsis by AMC points out that Rick doesn't want to fight with the new enemies. However, they want to walk on the path of violence and destruction.

"The Walking Dead" Season 5, mid-season finale will show the rescue operation started by Rick Grimes, Daryl Dixon, Sasha, Tyreese and Noah in Episode 7, "Crossed." Abraham's group may as well join the rescue mission.

Melissa McBride talked to Zap2it and described the episode in one word as "heartbreak."

Even Norman Reedus had a time before shooting the final moments of "The Walking Dead" Season 5, Episode 8. He talked to TV Guide and said that he cried for an hour. Read more, here.
