Reviewers have watched the premiere and reviewed the episode. Cleary, many have stated that Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride) is playing a major role in "The Walking Dead" Season 5, Episode 1.

According to Slate's review, Carol is the one who will play a key role in saving the group while Tyreese (Chad Coleman) is in the cabin with one of Gareth's team member.

Apparently, Carol is set to go all out to save Rick, Daryl, Glenn (Steven Yeun), Maggie (Lauran Cohan) and others.

Season 5 premiere will continue from last season's finale instalment which was a cliffhanger episode. It is likely that the first episode will witness Carol and Mary fight. According to Voice of TV, Carol is going to unleash her "rage" on Mary.

Talking about Gareth, "The Walking Dead" Season 5's opening scene shows Gareth's (Andrew J. West) team locked up in different train cars. Interestingly, the last scene of the episode also showcases something similar. Voice of TV noted that these are scenes from the past and present.

Are Terminus residents cannibals?

Comic book writer Robert Kirkman talked to Entertainment Weekly about people at Terminus. Kirkman stated that "wouldn't it be crazy if they didn't turn out to be cannibals, since everything seems to be going that way?" Also, he revealed that the new season is closely following the comic book storyline.

He also said that Gareth is not the only threat for the survivors; in fact, he is "possibly far from the biggest threat."

"The Walking Dead" Season 5 airs Sunday, Oct. 12, 2014 on AMC.
