Telltale Games may have perfected the formula of its games with several titles currently in production, and more titles to come. As of now, Telltale Games has developed games based on series such as “Minecraft,” “Borderlands” and “Back to the Future.” Recent news now confirms that one of its titles is already gearing up for a season 2.

Fans of the “Game of Thrones” series will be delighted as Telltale has confirmed that a season for the game is in the works. The developer has confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter today that a second season is already in the works. The news was made by Kevin Bruner, the co-founder and CEO of Telltale Games. Apparently, the game developer is in a multi-year contract with “Game of Thrones” producer, HBO.

"When we initially announced the series in 2013, we let everyone know this would be a multi-title, multiyear partnership with HBO. After this week's finale, I'm pleased to officially confirm that there will be a second season of Telltale's Game of Thrones series and that it's currently in development," said Bruner to The Hollywood Reporter.

He further noted that the second season for “Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series” as always been planned. In fact, the second season should not come as news to those who have already finished the final episode of the first season, The Ice Dragon. Many fans have been left hanging with many stories still undone. Although the developer hasn’t announced how many seasons are planned for the series, fans should expect more after season 2 considering that fact that Telltale is only on the second year of it 10-year contract with HBO.

Telltale Games is gearing up for more titles. Even “The Walking Dead” Telltale series is getting another season before the end of this year. The developer even teased the reveal of Michionne in the game, PlayStation Lifestyle reports.
